• In Japan they have a specially prepared pork chop that is selected by consumers for its great flavor and excellent tenderness and juiceness
• The boar, Tonkatsu, is backed by outstanding meat quality.  His sire, F LLoyd 413-9, was the top ranking Duroc boar for meat quality at the 2015 National Barrow Show Progecy Test.  He ranked first in Inston Tenderness score as well as 1st in Sensory Panel Juiceness and Tenderness.  Two littermate gilts to Tonkatsu had 6.7 and 7.2% loin intramuscular fat
• Tonkatsu is a wide based, bold deep ribbed boar that carries his depth uniformly from forerib to flank
• He has a big shapely top, a thick rump and muscular ham
• Tonkatsu's sire, F Lloyd 413-9, has EPDs of -4.97 days (top 5%), -10.0 FE (top 4%), and 140.4 TSI (top 4%) while the paternal grandsire, F Lloyd 27-2, has EPDs of -5.14 Days (top 4%), -11.0 FE (top 2%) and 144.5 TSI (top 3%)
• Tonkatsu's dam has EPDs of -3.93 days, -8.0 FE & 134.8 TSI
