• Kato is an extremely heavy muscled boar yet sound and functional.  He has tremendous shape down his grooved top and a big dimple above his tail.  He pops a big stifle muscle and is extra thick and shapely about his ham. 
• An extremely lean-topped boar, Kato's blades are set wide apart and very prominent.  Although terminal in appearance, Kato is backed by very good maternal performance.  The outstanding maternal record on the top side is already detailed in the description of Kolto and Kolmas. 
• On the bottom side, Kato's dam has a very consistent performance in her first three litters of 12.3 farrowed, 10.7 weaned, 152 lb. 21-day litter weight and a 118 SPI.  His maternal grandsire has a 116 SPI based on 157 daughters. 
• We feel Kato is a unique breeding piece that can be used in a number of ways.  Certainly he could sire very muscular blue butt show pigs.  However, his major contribution might be in the formation of white terminal lines.  With his very strong maternal lineage he could also be utilized to add muscle and leanness where needed in maternal lines.
