• These three boars were selected from the 5th generation of the ISU selection project for intramuscular fat (IMF)
• In the five generations the average Carcass Percent IMF has increased from 3.00 to 5.15% or almost 0.5% per generation in the select line
• The three boars in this group were selected from the top 10% of the boars in the selected line based on their EPDs for IMF.  With phenomenal EPDs of 2.53, 2.42 and 2.28 they will certainly make great strides in increasing the IMF of their offspring over the Duroc breed average
• Boars will naturally have lower % IMF than barrows or gilts.  Note the littermate barrow carcass IMF of 10.5, 6.99 and 5.71 compared to boars at 5.02, 4.08 and 3.85
• Not only are these boars phenomenal in breeding value for IMF; they are good structured, sound and well designed boars.  We carefully analyzed the top ranking boars on IMF EPDs and selected the three that combined their superior IMF EPDs with the best phenotypic design and function
