• Red Dawn is 87.5% Danish being sired by Nathan and out of a Fjord X Body Builder sow.  The next two sires on the maternal side are Hamalot and Sambo, two SGI lines that excelled in overall performance and carcass cutability. 
• Red Dawn represents an extreme package that is bred to excel in lankness and muscle.  In the most recent Duroc Across-Herd Sire Summary, Fjord and Nathan ranked 2^nd and 5^th on EPDs for backfat while sons ranked 3, 4, 9, 10, 12, 16, 17, 23 & 25th.  Sons ranked 2, 8, 11, 14, 20, 22, 25 and 26^th on TSI. 
• Red Dawn is an ultra trim boar that is very trim about his jowl, shoulder and middle.  He is a big framed, long bodies boar, yet has excellent muscle expression and dimension.  Nathan, Fjord and Body Builder have had a tremendous influence on building leaner, heavier muscled Durocs in the United States. 
• Red Dawn can certainly carry on this tradition while maintaining overall frame size and structural soundness.
