His paternal grandsire, Lancer 6-5, is a littermate to JMF3 Launcher 6-4 that first ranked number one on MLI in the 1995 Yorkshire Across Herd Sire Summary. He held this top raking throughout 1995 and 1997. Launcher 6-4 was also ranked number one on EPDs for days at –7.85 in 1995. In 1996 Lancer 40-7, the sire of Lancer 86-5, was ranked first on EPDs for days at –8.41. Launcher 6-4 was ranked third on EPDs days in 1996.

Lancer 40-7 also held the number one ranking on EPDs days in 1997. Lancer 86-5’s is currently ranked 10th on EPDs for days at –5.48. On the bottom side of Lancer 86-5’s pedigree you have Bruiser 7-12 who was a Bruiser x King David. Bruiser 7-12’s dam averaged 12.1 NBA, 10.3 weaned and 167 lb 21-day litter weight in eight parities at Craig Good’s. She had two litters over 200 lb and one at 198 lb 21-day litter weight. The Bruiser line going back to SGI Bruiser 7-2, born in 1986, was always an extremely tough made, fast growing line.

The maternal grandam of Lancer 86-5, JMF4 Buckeye Queenie 39-7 was a maternal giant ranking number one in the Yorkshire Breed on SPI in 1993 and 1994. Lancer 86-5’s dam, Buckeye Queenie 23-7, was also an outstanding producer with an SPI of 114.57. In 1997 Lancer 86-5’s sire, dam and all four grandparents had SPIs above 110.

Lancer 86-5 is a stout made boar with a massive shoulder, big – bold rib and pulled apart from front to rear. He is level made, has excellent bone and is still very active and moves out freely at five years of age. With his ideal design for confinement housing; Lancer 86-5 has demonstrated the ability to live and function while housed in a gestation crate for the past several years.
