• Each one of the six recently imported Large Whites from Sweden is a bit different but certainly excels in several areas. 
• UPPSALA is the extremely well designed, most massive boar that offers a very well rounded and complete package.  A tall fronted, big framed, well balanced boar that is very level in his design; 
• UPPSALA is particularly long and level out through his rump.  He is thick muscled with very good spring of rib and good bone.  We were immensely impressed with several of the littermate gilts to UPPSALA.  They were lean, heavy muscled hogs; yet very long and level and maternal in their design with excellent underlines. 
• UPPSALA’s sire has one of the very top progeny test indexes in Sweden at 121 with his progeny test groups excelling in growth (0.15 lb faster gain per day) and feed conversion (15 lb less feed per 100 lb gain) while having only 0.59 in carcass backfat. 
• UPPSALA’s dam is a big, powerful sow that has averaged 11 born, 10.4 born live and 9.0 weaned for five parities.  His maternal granddam has averaged 10.7 born live and 9.6 weaned for seven parities.  His maternal granddam has averaged 10.7 born live and 9.6 weaned for seven parities while his paternal granddam and great granddam averaged 11.6 & 12.3 born live and 9.1 and 11.3 weaned for seven and eight parities, respectively.
