• Giant Jack is a super sound, well-balanced, level designed boar. 
• He has very good length of head, neck and body with a long, level rump and excellent set of feet and legs. 
• His massive foot size, big shoulders, perfect set and curvature of front legs along with his ideal hip, rump and hock structure dictates that he should sire super sound, functional offspring with superior longevity. 
• Giant Jack is also a heavy structured boar with extra width of upper and lower cavity and an abundance of muscle, yet is very loose structured and free moving.  He is a lean made boar with excellent shape down his top. 
• Giant Jack is sired by the $6,100 JLO Giant 1-1 boar that holds the recorded for the highest weight per day of age (1.97 WDA) of any Hampshire boar to be exhibited at a National Hampshire Conference. 
• Giant Jack’s paternal granddam has recorded quite an impressive record in the Joe Lancaster herd, which has earned her membership into the Hampshire Brood Sow Hall of Fame.  She was a big, long, extremely, functional sow that excelled in top and rump design.  In her first six litters she farrowed an average of 10.7 and weaned 9.7.  In addition to Giant 1-1, other top offspring of Giant Jack’s dam included the top selling gilt at Sweetwater; the Champion Boar at the 1992 National Barrow Show and Magnum, who sired Lancaster.  Her daughters and sons have also consistently generated better Hampshires. 
• Giant Jack’s dam has farrowed two litters with an impressive 11 farrowed, 11 weaned and 10 farrowed, 10 weaned. Several littermate sisters to Giant Jack were kept in the Pothast herd to carry on this very functional line of hogs. 
• The total flexibility of skeleton and correctness of body design that Giant Jack expresses certainly indicates that he will sire hogs that could thrive in an intensive or confinement production system with superiority longevity.
