Powerback is sired by Fullback the Reserve Champion at the 2013 National Barrow Show. Huge chested with monster legs and feet, a massive rib cage and wide and square from front to rear, Fullback has consistently generated his powerful build. Included in his many winning offspring are the top selling Duroc boar at the 2014 Indiana State Farm and the $85,000 2014 National Barrow Champion
Powerback's dam is a littermate to the Huinker herd boar New Dimension 61-2. She and her two littermates are three of John's most productive sows
Powerback, like his sire, is an powerfully built boar. Bold fronted, wide chested, big ribbed and extra square and thick in his rump; he is heavy structured with stout yet clean bone and big feet.
Very level made with a long level rump and high tail setting; Powerback is particularily good in his hip to hock to the ground structure
Soft made, with very flexible spine, deep in his fore rib, middle and flank; he has a very durable and productive look
Along with his correct and powerful structure, Powerback has a large volume of muscle that certainly doesn't restrict his fluid movement in any way
For those of you that had success with 1321 Double Wide, a former SGI boar from John Huinkers; Powerback is made from the same mold
He puts together all the basics needed in production oriented Durocs in terms of extra growth, ideal cutability in a stout, durable and very functional package.
